It’s quite an experience finding Alaska in the bowels of the Kings Cross car Park. You pass the camper vans with people set up for outdoor living except that they have their laptops. At the far end of the carpark is the strident graphic for Alaska. As part of Safari 2014, a fringe of the Biennale of Sydney, they had Paul Williams and Christopher Dolman’s delicate display of clay, plywood and timber pieces. They were arranged around and on a large table in Alaska’s 5m x 5m minuscule art space supported by the City of Sydney. Whilst Safari 2014 is over, Alaska and Biennale are worth checking out.
