Central Park, Sydney in detail

April 14, 2014 § Leave a comment

The new Frasers Property Australia development, Central Park, works both inside and outside. What’s really fun and absorbing inside the shopping complex and atrium is the touch-screen panel that projects onto a wall screen that responds to the user with various digitised patterns/projections.

On the outside is the detail of the vertical green cladding that blankets the external Broadway wall of the complex – it works both close up and from a distance. The wall was designed by Patrick Blanc who has been  a pioneer in this field.

The commercial complex on Broadway was designed by Foster + Partners (UK) led the master planning team and designed the Broadway commercial precinct in partnership with JPW (Australia) and Ateliers Jean Nouvel (France).
