Tokyo Shock – the fish markets

With Japan being the seafood eating nation that it is, it is no surprise then that Tsukiji Markets are some of world’s largest fish markets. But they don’t just sell fish – meat, produce and flowers and are just one of ten wholesale markets in Tokyo. They are scheduled for relocation though at the end of 2016. The Japanese think of everything, every convenience imaginable, wherever you are. In the fish markets, they have special hand cleaning, not just the normal towels, for de-cleansing the fish smell from your hands. And there are cool rooms where you can take a break from the blazing Summer sun.
